Can I change my fundraising target?
Yes – you can set a target when you set up your fundraising page. Once you’ve reached these targets, the sky’s the limit! To set and alter your target further click on ‘edit your page’ and change the ‘my goal’ at the top right of the page. Don’t forget to save your changes down the bottom of the page.
My friends have given me cash – how can I add this to my page?
The best way is to put the donation on your own personal Credit Card, enter your friends details on the top part of the ‘Sponsor Me’ page and their email address. You keep the money and this means your friend gets the receipt and you don’t have to then collect up the money and get it to the charity, as it is all processed online.
What if my friends give me a cheque for ChildFund?
This can be added to the offline total by logging in to your account using your email and password, click on ‘edit your page’ and change the ‘total raised offline’ at the bottom of the page and don’t forget to save your changes. Then send the cheque/s to ChildFund NZ, Level 6, 17 Albert Street, PO Box 105630, Auckland City 1143, marked as ‘ChildFund Challenge donation’ so we can verify your total raised.
How do I let people know about my page?
The best way is to email your family, friends, and colleagues using your own email programme (e.g. Outlook). You can do this as many times as you wish. All you need to do is copy your page address (url) into your email.
Having a signature message at the bottom of all your emails is a great way to let everyone know about your page. Something like: "I’m doing the ChildFund Challenge – sponsor me to support ChildFund. Visit www.childfundchallenge/yourname to make an online donation" can be really effective.
Remember to update your blog so supporters can see how your training is going!
How do I get a receipt for a donation?
As long as a correct email address has been entered on the ‘Sponsor Me’ page, the donor should receive a receipt by email immediately. If the email has been entered incorrectly, then please email: help@fundraiseonline.co.nz with the date, name and amount of the donation and a link can be sent to you so the receipt can be printed out.
Has my donation gone through?
If you are unsure whether your donation has been processed, please check the fundraisers page after a few minutes. If the donation appears then your donation has been processed correctly. If it doesn't appear, then please try again.
What will the funds I raise be used for?
ChildFund New Zealand works for the well-being of children by supporting locally-led initiatives that strengthen families and communities, helping them overcome poverty and protect the rights of their children.
